Eloise by Damon Alexander Hendricks

Eloise....in your dreams,
Parts of me I couldn't be.
The winds remind you of me,
And the sweet scent of embraces I couldn't give.
Lustful gaze at me from the moon,
Thought of others consume you.
Enquire what my penance be for causing these warmth on thee.
I walked away, your Eloise. The rose the wind blew away from your reach.
You say forgive, but I can't be all that you need. I can't be your Eloise.
The man I wouldn't need, cries for Eloise and mourns her.
But I went away a name and left behind a love so tortured'
